On the occasion of the 35th Foundation Day celebrations of Coal India, held at Science City on Monday, was indeed a fine example.
Pt Ajoy Chakraborty performed with singer Kavita Krishnamurthy, while noted poet Gulzar and film maestro Soumitra Chatterjee enthralled the audience by reciting some of Tagore’s poems, which have been translated by Gulzaar saab himself.

Among the invitees were veteran film-maker Mrinal Sen, actor Arjun Chakraborty, sitarist Purbayan Chatterjee, US Consul General Beth Payne and others.
